Cheez-It Bowl: #21 Oklahoma State vs. #18 Miami

D’Eriq King announced that he is returning to Miami for the 2021 season. This should be a big boost for the Hurricanes leading into their bowl game. They lost their last game in a terrible fashion to North Carolina. The only other loss was against Clemson. With the boost of King’s announcement, Miami rebounds to get the win.

PICK: MIAMI +2 OVER 58.5

Alamo Bowl: #20 Texas vs. Colorado

Texas failed to live up to the hype from the beginning of the season. Losing their third game against TCU derailed any chances they had this season. For the most part, they got better as the season went on. In the Alamo Bowl, they get a chance to capitalize against a poor opponent. Sam Ehlinger hasn’t made a decision on returning to Texas or heading to the NFL. A good game against Colorado might help make his decision.

PICK: TEXAS -9.5 OVER 63.5

Cotton Bowl: #7 Florida vs. #6 Oklahoma

Both of these teams are highly overrated. There is no reason for them to be in the top 10. Florida lost back-to-back games against LSU and Alabama (SEC Championship). Oklahoma lost to Kansas State which should have been enough to keep them out of the top 10 for the rest of the season. With that said, these are two of the best offenses in the country, but neither team can play defense. I’ll take Heisman finalist Kyle Trask and the Gators.

PICK: FLORIDA -3 OVER 71.5

Duke’s Mayo Bowl: Wake Forest vs. Wisconsin

A pair of .500 teams take to the field on opposite ends of their records. Wake Forest has to be happy to finish with an even record. They even beat a ranked Virginia Tech team. I’m surprised Dave Clawson hasn’t moved onto a larger program. Conversely, Wisconsin has to be shattered by their poor showing this year. A few games were canceled because of COVID issues. Their offense failed to produce against Northwestern, Indiana, and Iowa. I’d like to take Wake Forest, but Wisconsin is a much better program.

PICK: WISCONSIN -7 UNDER 51.5

Arizona Bowl: Ball State vs. #22 San Jose State

The county of Santa Clara has made it clear that they do not want San Jose State to travel for this game. County officials have deemed that it would be a violation of their COVID protocols. They have since backed off their threats to not let the team board the flight. It would be a horrible travesty to ruin the end of an amazing season for San Jose State who won their first ever conference championship this year behind a 7-0 record.

PICK: SAN JOSE STATE -9.5 UNDER 63.5

Armed Forces Bowl: #24 Tulsa vs. Mississippi State

Another game with an undeserving SEC school. Mississippi State posted a terrible, not bowl worthy 3-7 record. Tulsa gets a chance to beat a team from the “best conference” in college football. They also get the advantage of having something to prove. The Bulldogs just want the season to end. It has been a brutally disappointing season since their dominant win against LSU.

PICK: TULSA -2.5 UNDER 47

Texas Bowl: Arkansas vs. TCU

Why is this even a game? It is the exact same situation as the Armed Forces Bowl, but TCU isn’t as good as Tulsa. Arkansas is possibly worse than Mississippi State. Needless to say, another bad SEC team gets a chance at a bowl game, and I find it absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, I’ll take the team that actually had a winning record for the season.

PICK: TCU -5 UNDER 57

Liberty Bowl: West Virginia vs. Army

Army got their bowl game. I would have liked to see them take on someone a little bit better, but at least they are getting a post season appearance. Their strong running attack should keep the West Virginia passing attack off the field.

PICK: ARMY +7 OVER 41.5
