Online poker and casino games revenue has increased three times from last year as the real casinos are not operating due to the coronavirus pandemic. People are spending most of their time inside their homes in order to prevent themselves from the menace of coronavirus.
Hence they are spending their free time playing online casino games with their friends and family members. According to a new report from the American Gambling Association, the revenue from online casino games like poker and slots reached $420 million in the second quarter of 2020.
This number is three times the value of revenue generated during the same time period in the year 2019. Due to the shutting of real casinos, people are now spending their time playing online casino games such as poker, slots, and more. Due to this, there is an increase in traffic on many online casino sources during the Covid-19 pandemic.
American Gambling Association has said that real-world casinos have witnessed a decline in revenue by 80% in 2020. Many places in the US are offering legal casino games for people to invest their time. The names of these places are Nevada, West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
Now, the world economies are slowing coming to a normal track and the reopening of real casinos is taking place in different corners of the world. But still, there is not very much competition available for online casinos in the market. Due to the rising revenue of online casinos in the gaming world, many new firms are now introducing their online services to make a big profit.
