DET Lions @ CHI Bears

On Sunday the Detroit Lions (4-7) head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears (5-6). The Lions have just fired Matt Patricia and the Bears are fresh off a loss to Green Bay. The teams met earlier this season where Mitchell Trubisky led Chicago to a thrilling comeback victory, so will Matt Stafford return the favour in this game? Worth noting, the Bears have lost their last five games in a row, but the Lions have lost their last five games to the Bears. So one of them breaks their curse, who will it be? My money is on the Lions.

Pick: Lions 1-6, 7-12

IND Colts @ HOU Texans

The Houston Texans (4-7) host the Indianapolis Colts (7-4) at NRG Stadium. In their last four games, the Texans have won three games and Deshaun Watson is on fire – 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions in his last six games. For that reason alone, I see the Texans taking the victory here.

Pick: Texans 1-6, 7-12

NO Saints @ ATL Falcons

Two of the league’s hottest teams meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium when the Atlanta Falcons (4-7) host the New Orleans Saints (9-2) on Sunday. New Orleans has won eight straight games while the Falcons have won four of their last six under coach Raheem Morris – and if they win, and the Bears lose or tie, they’ll clinch a playoff spot. The Saints’ defense allowed just 12 points in Taysom Hill’s last two starts, and that included a 24-9 win against Atlanta. And the Falcons can’t settle for field goals in the rematch. So, expect Matt Ryan to make it interesting but Saints to take the victory.

Pick: Saints 1-6

NE Patriots @ LA Chargers

When the New England Patriots (5-6) travel to meet the Los Angeles Chargers (3-8) on Sunday, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has an opportunity to reach seven 300-yard passing games and establish the NFL’s rookie record. Herbert, who passed for 316 yards and a touchdown last week, is tied with Andrew Luck, who had six such games in 2012, for the most by a rookie in NFL history. This is a last-ditch attempt to make the playoffs for the Patriots and there is no room for error here. They are up against the Chargers who’ve allowed 27-points or more in eight games straight, and Justin Herbert has had three 300-yard games in the past four weeks – which is more than can be said for their untrustworthy defense. Patriots to scrape the victory here.

Pick: Patriots 1-6

PHI Eagles @ GB Packers

The Green Bay Packers (8-3) play host to the Philadelphia Eagles (3-7-1) at Lambeau Field. Last season, the Eagles stole a 34-27 victory against Green Bay, and the Packers will still hold painful memories of that game. I expect despite troubles at defense, Aaron Rodgers won’t allow a repeat of last time. Packers to get the ‘W’.

Pick: Packers 1-6, 7-12

DEN Broncos @ KC Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs (10-1) host the Denver Broncos (4-7) on Sunday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium. Not only have the Chiefs have won 19 of their last 20 games, including the postseason but this could also be the week that they clinch the AFC West division title – providing of course they win or at least tie, and the Raiders lose. They’ll also clinch a playoff spot if they win. Last week Broncos had an interesting experience at QB with practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton in place. So even with that situation unclear, it won’t affect the Chiefs who’ll have one heck of a game.

Pick: Chiefs 1-6, 7-12, 13-18, 19-24

BUF Bills @ SF 49ers

Two playoff hopefuls engage in an intriguing matchup on Monday Night Football when the Buffalo Bills (8-3) travel to play the San Francisco 49ers (5-6). With the game to be played at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium (yes, in case you missed that, Santa Clara is on lockdown so the 49ers will play in Arizona for their next few games. Despite not having the comfort of home, the defense will be good enough to challenge the Bills with the likes of Raheem Mostert and Deebo Samuel back in action.

Pick: 49ers 1-6
