You can wager on the highest scoring or lowest scoring team this weekend via NFL divisional prop bets on DraftKings. It’s no shocker that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are favorites as the team to crank out the most points at +225 odds, while the LA Rams and their banged-up quarterbacks are the favorites to finish this round as the lowest-scoring team.

The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions and favorites once again. The top-seeded and well-rested Chiefs are fresh off a bye and host the #7 Cleveland Browns in the AFC divisional round on Sunday. The Browns upset the Pittsburgh Steelers during a crazy AFC Wild Card game last Sunday night to secure a spot in against the Super Bowl champs.

NFL PROP BETS: HIGHEST SCORING TEAM
  • Kansas City Chiefs +175
  • New Orleans Saints +450
  • Green Bay Packers +500
  • Buffalo Bills +500
  • Tampa Bay Bucs +800
  • Baltimore Ravens +900
  • Cleveland Browns +1100
  • LA Rams +1600
NFL PROP BETS: LOWEST SCORING TEAM
  • LA Rams +180
  • Cleveland Browns +400
  • Baltimore Ravens +500
  • Tampa Bay Bucs +600
  • Buffalo Bills +800
  • Green Bay Packers +800
  • New Orleans Saints +1000
  • Kansas City Chiefs +2000

The high-octane Green Bay Packers secured the #1 seed in the NFC and they’re among one of the favorites to score the most points in the divisional round. The Packers host the LA Rams, who upset the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle in the AFC Wild Card.

High Guys: Chiefs, Saints, Bucs

Which offense do you think will smoke their opponent? Kansas City against Cleveland? New Orleans against Tampa Bay? Before you fire away, take a moment to check the weather reports.

The Green Bay Packers face one of the top defenses in the league against the LA Rams, ranked #1 in defensive DVOA and #1 in scoring defense (18.5 ppg in the regular season). MVP front runner Aaron Rodgers will have a lot on his plate evading Aaron Donald and trying to beat Jalen Ramsey up top.

Snow is in the forecast in Buffalo on Sunday for the Bills divisional round game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills will face the second-best scoring defense in the NFL that allowed only 18.9 ppg this season. Baltimore is also ranked #8 in defensive DVOA.

Lamar Jackson never played in a snow game before, but fresh off his first-ever postseason victory. The Ravens boast the top rushing attack out of the remaining teams and expect to pound the rock against the Bills, especially if it snows.

The Kansas City Chiefs are a popular pick. In the last 24 hours, DraftKings adjusted their prop betting number from +250 to +200 to +175 odds as the highest-scoring team this weekend. The Chiefs (29.6 ppg) are fresh off a bye and ranked #3 in offensive DVOA.

The Tampa Bay Bucs are worth a flier at +800 odds as the highest-scoring team because Tom Brady is loaded with offensive weapons, including Antonio Brown. They face a tough New Orleans defense (allowing 21.1 ppg and ranked #2 in defensive DVOA), but the Bucs will have to win a shootout if they expect to knock off Brees and the Saints at the Superdome.

Lo-Fi Hollywood: Who’s Playing QB for the LA Rams?

Jared Goff is still not 100% after he underwent surgery to fix a fractured thumb. If it were the regular season, he’d sit out a few weeks and let his thumb heal properly. However, since it’s the playoffs, Goff wants to play. Head coach Sean McVay announced the Goff would start on Saturday in Green Bay.

Backup John Wolford did a bang-up job in Week 17 as a starter. He led the Rams to a must-win game against the Arizona Cardinals to secure an NFC Wild Card spot. Wolford did not last a full quarter against Seattle before he left with a neck injury. He experienced a “stinger”, but went to a local hospital as a precautionary measure, but they cleared him to fly back home to Los Angeles.

“it’s a credit to who he is as a man that he can be able to step in and do what he did,” McVay told the LA Times. “This week has represented an opportunity for him to build on last week and get another week removed from that thumb injury. Jared played in a lot of big games, and this is a great opportunity for us and with him leading our offense feel great about the chance.”

The Rams are the favorites to finish the weekend as the lowest scoring team at +180 odds. During the regular season, the rams were the tenth-lowest scoring team in the NFL averaging 23.3 ppg. Despite banged-up quarterbacks in the Wild Card game, the Rams scored 30 points in a victory over the Seahawks.

It’s currently 80 degrees in Los Angeles right now and the high temps in Green Bay on Sunday with highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens. Goff’s thumb will hurt like a mofo, but that’s why the Packers are difficult to defeat in January. The Packers gain both a psychological and physical edge with the crappy and cold weather, especially against a Rams team that plays in warm and sunny SoCal.

Shootout for Mayfield and Cleveland?

The Cleveland Browns are one of the favorites for lowest scoring team in the divisional round. Baker Mayfield and the Browns scored 48 points in a thrashing over AFC North rival the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card game last Sunday night. The Browns scored 28 points in the first quarter and held off the Steelers in the second half.

The Browns are +400 odds to finish the divisional round with the lowest score, which seems off. The Kansas City Chiefs only have an average defense that allowed 22.6 ppg this season. However, in terms of defensive DVOA, Kansas City is ranked #26.

Kansas City/Cleveland has the highest total on the board with a 57 over/under. Based on the total, the bookies anticipate this will be a shootout.
