The 3-5 Minnesota Vikings head to Chicago to take on the division-rival Bears on Monday Night Football.
The 5-4 Bears will be looking to get back on track, losers of their last three games. Chicago lost to Tennessee last week, 24-17. The Vikings have won two straight, most recently a 34-20 win over Detroit.
The visiting Vikings are currently 3-point favorites.
Minnesota Vikings Betting Preview: Can’t Stop Cook
Minnesota is riding running back Dalvin Cook on their two-game winning streak. Cook has 478 total yards and six touchdowns in the last two weeks, both tops in the NFL.
On the season, Cook has already topped 1,000 total yards from scrimmage to go along with his 13 total touchdowns.
Meanwhile, quarterback Kirk Cousins has had an average year, throwing 15 touchdowns while tossing ten interceptions. His leading receivers, rookie Justin Jefferson (627 yards) and Adam Thielen (seven touchdowns), have provided a nice boost for the passing game.
The defense has their moments, with six interceptions and three fumbles recovered, although the defensive line has just 16 sacks on the year. Leading the turnover charge has been linebacker Eric Wilson, with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Chicago Bears Betting Preview: Defensive Strength and Offensive Struggles
Chicago’s five wins are on the back of their defense, led by linebackers Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith, defensive linemen Akiem Hicks and safety Eddie Jackson.
The defensive contributors go far deeper than the players listed above, fueling the Bears top-ten ranking in both points allowed (21.1 points per game) and yards (349.4 yards per game).
Meanwhile, the offense has been stagnant, scoring just 19.4 points per game. The up-and-down career of Nick Foles continues on with a lackluster 249 yards average to go along with ten touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Lacking weapons on offense, and with workhorse running back David Montgomery out this week with a concussion, Chicago’s plodding offense is expected to continue.
Vikings vs. Bears Betting Odds & Lines
MyBookie has the Vikings as 3-point favorites.
This is the first game this year that the Vikings are an away favorite. For Chicago, they are 2-1 against the spread (ATS) as a home underdog.

Minnesota is 5-3 ATS overall and have been red-hot the last two weeks off the back of Cook. The Bears did hold Derrick Henry to 68 yards last week, but two weeks ago, they let Alvin Kamara rack up 163 total yards. Cook is much more in the mold of Kamara and should have similar success.
The Vikings have won three out of their last five games and have an explosive offense that should have chances, even against a strong Bears defense. It’s tough to bet on Chicago, even when getting the three points, with such a methodical and unsuccessful offensive gameplan.
