Online gambling technology and service provider Finnplay Technologies is expanding its physical presence in Northern Europe by opening a new office in the Estonian capital, Tallinn.
The company said that the newly opened office will enhance its software development capabilities. The new hub currently employs nine people, but Finnplay plans to double its Tallinn workforce within the next year.
Formed in 2008, Finnplay is a private Nordics-based provider of iGaming platform technology and related services. The company crafts tailored solutions for the provision of desktop and mobile gaming services in regulated territories.
Finnplay’s flagship product is the fully integrated Titan casino and sportsbook platform. It incorporates a technology stack based around multiple microservices, including integrations for online casino games, payments, and products from other third-party providers as well as a back office for site management.
The platform is regulated and available in a wide number of jurisdictions, including Sweden, the UK, Romania, Denmark, Belgium, Bulgaria, Malta, Hungary, and Mexico.
Finnplay’s new Estonian team will be focused on supporting the company’s product innovation and customer developments. It will also grow Finnplay’s core strengths in the iGaming market such as responsible gaming, fraud and risk analysis.
Estonia has in recent years turned into one of Europe’s hottest hubs for technology development thanks to its skilled talent in software development.
A Hub of Innovation
Commenting on their expansion, Alina Belova, the Administrative Manager and Legal Counsel in Finnplay’s Tallinn office, said that their new development space in the Estonian capital would be “a hub of innovation and software development to support Finnplay’s continued growth and success.”
She added that their newly formed team comprises experienced developers and business professionals who boast the right skills and experience to assist the company in achieving its “ambitious development goals.”
Finnplay CEO Martin Prantner said that they are very pleased to open their newest office in the Estonian capital and grow their regional presence while also enhancing their skills and development resources for their clients.
Mr. Prantner added that software development will be core to their growth and their operator partners’ success going forward and that their highly skilled newly formed Estonian team will help them bolster their performance and capabilities significantly.
It has been a big year for Finnplay in many ways. In July, the company’s former partner Global Gaming transferred all intellectual property rights in their jointly built Sweden-facing Nano Casino brand to Finnplay.
Finnplay and Global Gaming teamed up in the summer of 2019. The partnership was formed shortly after the latter had its Swedish B2C license suspended. The two companies launched Nano Casino in August 2019. Global Gaming also transferred its Ninjacasino.se domain to Finnplay later that year.
