The Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) returns for its third online edition from Dec. 2-7. PokerStars has even added two more days of action with an overall guarantee of $1.23 million across 23 events.
With more events on the schedule, players have a wider variety of tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $11 to $530. Players can qualify via satellites starting at just $0.55, which are already underway.
Players don’t even have to be in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo for this festival. The series is open to all players on the PokerStars .COM platform. A visit to Copacabana Beach will have to be virtual this time.
PokerStars Brazilian Series highlights
The first BSOP online was held in April with a $600,000 guarantee. That was followed by a June edition with $1 million guaranteed. PokerStars has now upped the ante even more.
The $215 Main Event highlights the series on Dec. 6 and the two-day tournament features a $300,000 guarantee. The title also comes with a coveted BSOP bracelet to the winner.
Lower rollers can also take a shot in the $22 Mini Main Event on Dec. 6 with a $100,000 guarantee. A few other highlights include:
- $11 NLHE Big Hit (Dec. 2, 3, 7) – $75,000 guarantee
- $109 NLHE Start-Up (Dec. 2-3) – $85,000 guarantee
- $82 NLHE (Dec. 4) – $40,000 guarantee

EPT Online scores results
The first ever European Poker Tour (EPT) Online wrapped up recently with “WhatIfGod” taking down the $5,200 Main Event. The tournament attracted 1,304 entries and broke the $5 million guarantee by almost $1.25 million.
That meant $6.5 million in the prize pool and WhatIfGod won just over $1 million for the top spot. The Mini Main Event was also successful, almost doubling the guarantee to award $920,600.
The series offered an EPT online schedule based on the regular live event program. That included a plethora of iconic tour trophies handed out to winners and live cards-up coverage. A few series highlights included:
- $26.8 million in prize money awarded – $21.2 in the in EPT Online and $5.6 million in the Mini EPT.
- 13,222 entries across the 20-event schedule.
- 278,874 entries in the Mini EPT.
- “girafganger7” won two tournaments: the $10,300 Turbo 6-Max High Roller for $186,237 and the $2,100 NLHE for $87,983.
- The EPT Online Cup attracted 2,832 entries, the highest number of entries in the main series. That built a prize pool of $566,600 with Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche taking the top prize of $82,093.
- “edyvpakistan” won the $55 Mini EPT, topping a field of 18,412 entries to claim $79,139. The event produced a $920,600 prize pool, almost double the $500,000 guarantee.
Players in Southern Europe and Italy still have the chance to compete for EPT glory. The €250 EPT Cup will be held on Nov. 22 in Southern Europe with €250,000 guaranteed and €200,000 in Italy.
