- Braga sit second in Liga Nos and face a second division side this week
- Braga have won four of their last five home games to nil
- The hosts have conceded just twice in four home league games this season
Braga to see off promotion hopefuls
Braga won the Portuguese League Cup last term and they are hopeful of more glory this season. They are 90 minutes away from the semi-finals, while their excellent start in the league has seen them land a home draw against second-tier opposition.
Braga are in second place in Liga Nos and as a result they face second-tier Estoril in the quarter-finals. That should suit the hosts, as the gulf between second in the top-tier and first in the second division should be too big for Estoril to breach.
So far this term Braga have been impressive at home, winning their last three here in the league. They’ve been much more restrained at their own ground, with four wins to nil in their last five at home.
Braga have conceded just twice in four home games against top-flight sides at home and we see them following that up with a win to nil here. Given their low scoring start – just 1.5 goals total per game – a 2-0 home win is our correct score prediction.
